Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using FlightBuddy ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
These Terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and anyone who accesses or uses the Service at flightbuddy.app.
2. Description of Service
FlightBuddy is a travel planning tool that helps users find train connections to UK airports. The Service provides:
- Train timetable information for routes to UK airports
- Journey planning based on flight numbers and departure dates
- The ability to save and share journey plans
- Real-time train service information where available
Train timetable data is supplied under licence by National Rail. FlightBuddy is not a ticket retailer and does not sell train tickets. Train times are provided for information purposes only.
3. User Accounts
3.1 Registration
You may use certain features of the Service without creating an account. To access saved journeys and other features, you must register for an account with a valid email address.
3.2 Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at support@flightbuddy.app if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.
3.3 Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically download content from the Service
- Use automated tools to make excessive requests to our API
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation
- Transmit any viruses, malware, or other harmful code
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
- Attempt to reverse engineer any part of the Service
5. Premium Subscription
5.1 Billing
Premium subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on the plan selected). Payment is processed securely by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
5.2 Cancellation
You may cancel your premium subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer partial refunds for unused subscription time, except where required by law.
5.3 Price Changes
We reserve the right to change subscription prices. We will provide at least 30 days' notice of any price changes via email before they take effect.
5.4 Free Tier & Advertising
Free-tier users may be shown advertisements provided by NitroPay. Premium subscribers receive an ad-free experience.
6. Train Timetable Data
Train timetable and real-time information is supplied under licence by National Rail. The following conditions apply to this data:
- Timetable information is provided for personal journey planning only
- FlightBuddy does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of timetable data
- Train times are subject to change — always check with the train operator before travelling
Train times, platforms, and service information may change at short notice due to engineering works, disruption, or other operational reasons. FlightBuddy accepts no liability for missed trains or flights resulting from reliance on information provided by the Service.
7. Intellectual Property
The FlightBuddy name, logo, website design, and software are the intellectual property of FlightBuddy and are protected by copyright and other applicable laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
Train operating company logos displayed within the Service are the property of their respective owners and are used for informational identification purposes only.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
- Train timetable information will be accurate, complete, or up to date
- Any particular train service will operate as shown
- The Service will meet your specific requirements
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FlightBuddy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, missed flights, additional travel costs, or loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £10, whichever is greater.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
10. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party services including Stripe (payments), Google (authentication and advertising), and National Rail (timetable data). Your use of these services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of third-party services.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. The updated "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
